KÄÄPÄ Mushrooms Chaga extract (Inonotus obliquus), a potent water & alcohol tincture. Totally organic, wild harvested chaga in the organic certified forests around Arctic Circle, Finland.

It’s been studied the further North you go, the higher chaga’s medicinal compounds get: mainly polysaccharides and triterpenes. That’s why KÄÄPÄ's chaga comes from Lapland, Finland. You can be rest assured you have the strongest polysaccharide and triterpene content of any chaga product.

To extract chaga, they use industry leading Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE) technology: the UAE methodology breaks down the mushroom cell wall made of chitin. Chitin is a strong material that can be partially broken with alcohol extraction, but to fully extract those precious compounds in chaga e.g.. triterpenes, we need technology.

Supporting Forest Biodiversity

Finland has cleanest air and water ever measured, and the clean forests ensure that the mushrooms are eating the healthiest and cleanest food  –  the birch trees - which are FSC and/or PEFC certified for commitment to sustainable forest practices.

It is so important to KÄÄPÄ to protect the Finnish forest that they are working closely with forest owners enables a truly transparent growing environment for mushroom production, changing the status from the Nordic forests being cut down for the use of the paper or building industry, instead supporting cultivation of medicinal mushrooms in the region's forests.
