KÄÄPÄ Mushrooms Turkey tail extract (Trametes versicolor)

NOTE: Not for sale in the E.U.

To create their high quality mushroom extracts, KÄÄPÄ use industry leading Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE) technology - the UAE methodology breaks down the mushroom cell wall made of chitin. Chitin is a strong material that can be partially broken with alcohol extraction, but to fully extract those precious compounds (e.g. triterpenes), we need technology.

Ultrasonication produces high yields of bioavailable compounds. meaning that these mushrooms have the highest ingredient bioavailability.

Supporting Forest Biodiversity

Finland has cleanest air and water ever measured, and the clean forests ensure that the mushrooms are eating the healthiest and cleanest food  –  the birch trees - which are FSC and/or PEFC certified for commitment to sustainable forest practices.

It is so important to KÄÄPÄ to protect the Finnish forest that they are working closely with forest owners enables a truly transparent growing environment for mushroom production, changing the status from the Nordic forests being cut down for the use of the paper or building industry, instead supporting cultivation of medicinal mushrooms in the region's forests.
